The rarest teas Sri Lanka produces — both from the same tender bud, separated by a single decision.
STD 777Golden Tips White Tea
The white tea leaves of our Golden Tips are dried naturally. Lingering in sweetness with hints of honey and pine, this light amber-hued liquor is also rich in antioxidants.

STD 778Silver Tips White Tea
Similar to Golden Tips, made from the same tender buds but silver in colour.
Enquire about Silver Tips →Silver Tips: Light, airy, and exceptionally clean. Expect delicate notes of fresh grass, cucumber, and subtle floral undertones, finishing with a crisp, refreshing sweetness.
Golden Tips: Richer, smoother, and naturally sweeter. Because the buds undergo mild sun-oxidation, they develop distinct notes of wild honey, stone fruit (like apricot), and a warm, malty undertone.
Origin: Both teas come from the handpicked, unopened tender buds of the Camellia sinensis plant.
Silver Tips: These buds are dried quickly with machines or fans to prevent oxidation, which keeps their silver-white colour.
Golden Tips: These buds dry slowly in the warm mountain sun. The longer sun-drying process causes mild oxidation, turning the buds a rich golden colour and creating a slightly deeper flavour with honey or fruity notes.
Both varieties undergo very little processing and offer the light, delicate qualities and health benefits of traditional white tea.
White tea buds are incredibly delicate. Using boiling water or steeping them for too long will scorch the leaves and create a bitter, astringent cup.
